Leaking fuel/water separator

Hey oilburners been having this problem I have changed my fuel/water separator every month since ive owned it because if I wait to long it starts leaking on me and now it seems they are lasting about 2 weeks. Has anybody else had this problem ???

you still using the spin-on base? is it leaking from the base?
if so, ditch the current filter setup and switch to the Wix 33617 filter.

Replace the o-ring. Its international part number is 1811053C1..... Costs about $2.00 each... Buy two and save one for a spare... you will need it in the future.

All hell that simple I get in thru where the filter screws in right


Anybody looking for a idi motor local junkyard said $400 under 200k

Yes.... Remove the filter. Then use a large wrench (I think its a 1 inch hex nut) to remove the screw fitting that the filter attaches to. Then push out the heater coil and wire connecter from the top. Then you will see the o-ring. Use a dental pick to remove it. Easy job...
