Junked another tailgate

Get this, unhooking the gooseneck, and cought it on the tailgate. It was down though! I've never heard of this, or had it happen. I parked the trailer, up a slight hill, but on a flat spot. When I pulled away, the front tires went down, and the back of the bed came up enough to catch the hitch, and ruin my tailgate.

Anybody have a tailgate for sale or want to trade a whole dually bed (a nice one) for a flatbed? I don't want to put my flatbed on it.

yea it happens all the time the rear ends sit hight then the fronts on most trucks so the tailgate is always a little higher then the rest of the bed so it don't take much to make them hit sucks big time

Next time give the ole jack a few more cranks........That should solve your problem!

check ebay, I just picked up a real nice one XLT with the aluminum rear insert for $102.50.

Tailgate should be the same for a dually or SRW

I actually found a bed, and a tailgate. We'll see what I do, The bed is far away, in SC. You got a good deal on that tailgate.

I actually haven't gotten more than a rough quote. I was told around 700, but I will not pay that much for this bed. I am sending you a PM now, maybe we can work something out.

Finally got the final quote today. It was 600 with one carrier and 700 with another.

They're expensive....
