-Instead of a CDR or Road Draft Tube??

I know Henry is an '89, but is this supposed to take the place of the CDR on later models? I ask because I saw this as I was looking through JC Whitney's site and have never heard mention of it here. They list them for gassers and our trucks but I don't recall having seen this anywhere under the hood...

I'm going to say long term that is not going to accommodate all the oil vapor. CDR or draft tube would be best.

pretty sure thats the coffee can on the driver side for the vaccuum vapors... but i dont know really

That is a charcoal canister for gas tank vapours in emissions systems on gas burners. in other words, catalog screw up, diesels don't need or have those

that is a charcoal canister alright, not bug enough of an opening to catch all the blowby of the IDI and You can't recycle the oil going in there. If You want to get rid of the vapor off of the rdt You can divert it into the exhaust like so have done.

I don't think that I have come across any threads yet regarding the termination of a RDT into the exhaust. I can envision a fitting welded into a hole in the exhaust pipe, but passage of the exhaust gasses would have either a vacuum or pressurization (depending on the insertion angle of the fitting) effect on the RDT. With the fitting's opening facing downstream, a small low pressure area would be created at the orifice. Would this be a good or bad thing?

we have discussed this, race cars use this Jegs sells the bung to weld in the pipe. I still say a 1 gallon jug in the loop to catch the oil...

JC Whitney is famous for offering absolutely everything, but they do not check listings they have for accuracy. They will refund your money if there is a mistake, but you have to go through the hassle. It is a way for them to keep money when people give up trying to get the right part.

Sorry, didn't mean to be a bore, I must have missed it. I was essentially thinking out loud in my last post and had not searched the archives for all relevant data pertaining to the exhaust pipe as a termination point for a RDT. In the future I'll try to ask only original, never asked before questions
