Now, heres another question, could you take the exhaust manifolds off of a 404/446 GAS series IH V8 engine and put them on a 6.9? I was gonna cut me some header flanges with the neighbor's new heavy duty plasma cutter. And had some 404 exhaust manifolds lyin around.
Another thing, are bolt patterns the same between Ford and IH 6.9 Diesels, what I mean is, would a 2 ton motor bolt up to a 3/4 ton trans and vice versa?
Thinking about making a former diesel truck (1986 F250 4wd) (motors been gutted) into a IH Gas truck.

, yada yada, but i've got a junk two ton, good motor, and an otherwise good 3/4 ton truck. I thought if the 6.9 would fit, then the 404 would too.
