Ignition actuater

Anyone have a good walkthrough. And a good idea how long it should take to replace an ignition actuator on 99? My friend thinks I can just take the covering off and not remove the wheel so it should only take an hour or two... what are your thoughts guys? He has really helps me out while I have been working on my truck so I would like to bless him!!

The key switch?
The gear?
The plastic rod?
