K so went wheeling today, ya ya...pics later am beat, and a vid or two too.

Anyway, I dropped my Toyo M55's down to 26 PSI all the way around for better ride and traction! That being said, when stationary I could not turn those tyres....:yell:I'm fricken done with this ***** for good!

SOON one of these!

Then a NEW PS hose and a nice Saginaw pump and be done with this *****! PMO-cuss today trying to get turned around and no can turn tyres!

I've got a round CAN with two returns and a remote reservoir already for a saginaw pump. Just what I need for that setup in the link I posted!

I may try to ENLARGE the reservoir and see about a filter/cooler in the system too!

Then later that red head steering gear box (ported) and hydro assist.

When you cannot turn 255x85x16's at 26PSI SOMETHINGS wrong!

End rant....

If you can try and document everything when you do the sag swap thatd be awesome im sure wed all love to see it here.

THe cooler and filter is a must. Mine is being cooled by a factory E4OhDamn trans cooler and it does the job havent had a boilover yet and im turning easily with the 37s (about 100 lbs a piece with rim and beadlock and 0 psi of air) while being all kinds of bound up while crawling. Of course locking the front hubs makes it impossible because of the locker but works fine in 3 wheel drive.

Not sure how a larger reservoir would really make it all that better. Maybe just add an electric fan to the cooler?

Info about what you got your pump off of?

That's likely the same pump I run, mine came out of a TownCar IIRC and had aluminum bracket attached to it, but same '70s vintage. The upper return line will be great for hooking up an external cooler as it's already pointing forward, the lower is a direct shot for hydroboost return. The pressure line will have a 3/8" SAE double-flare, and so the pump fitting will be flared as well, not the O-ring setup used on '80 and newer pumps. Making your own pressure line ends is a whole lot easier with that setup. If you want the O-ring setup, an E-series or GM fullsize truck pump fitting threads right in. Another difference will be that everything on this pump is SAE threads, not metric like what you'll find on an E-Series IDI pump (so keep track of fasteners). Finally, the IDI pump bracket has a leg that goes behind the reservoir and IIRC that will interfere with the upper return line on this particular reservoir, not a concern for me cause I used the cast aluminum TownCar bracket, but you may need to improvise there...

I be going SERPENTINE setup and SOON once I get some parts ...idler and tensioner to be specific.

Thus I've got to use the HORSE SHOE part in the first post.

I was thinking that all those lines would be really simple to make up some custom lines for and if so then spares are always going to be handy!

Thanks for the info

Al
