Woke up this morning with humidity in the 80's ( rare for our arid desert) and Im here to tell you Lulu Belle ( my 89 F-250) ran like it was brand new. No rough idle , great acceleration, and by golly it had that famous International rattle emanating from under the hood. Life was good! Is there any way i can reproduce this same condition with say: a vapor injection/induction system? Give me your informed opinions, my brethren of the compression ignition!

Last weekend, your truck would've worked like a swiss watch here in central PA! Whew, glad that's over!

Air density makes power, the humidity actually hurts power since there’s less overall oxygen molecules in the air, more than likely you just had some cooler, denser air than you’re used to and the engine was making more power.

Sadly I must agree with Wes.... the cooler air( 68*) must have really helped the engine. Now if I just had a replacement door and $$$ to paint the thing I would most definitely be happier!

I will say, my truck is EXTREMELY happy around 50-60 degrees ambient temperature. Any more or less its average but I have noticed in that window my truck makes about 15hp more on the butt dyno LOL

Years ago, I worked with a guy who would say "it's a good day for racing" when it was around 60 degrees outside. Same principal.

Air density is important. More cooler air = more power.

This is why if you want more power, add a turbo. Then intercool it!

Gale Banks is the man... I watch everything he puts out, even if it doesn't pertain to something I do

I agree. He's very knowlegable. I had no idea that he was still that up front on the whole turbo performance thing. I'd figured that he had retired by now and let other people run the company. I became an instant Banks fan when I found out that they still stock parts for their first gen IDI turbo kits.

That dude is out front of everyone in about everything he does I would imagine. Did you watch the diff cover tests and all the things he took into account? He might as well put me first on the list when he starts building them, I had mag hytec on everything, come to find out, they cause all kinds of problems

The only one of his videos that I've watched is the one that Macrobb posted. I honestly didn't finish that one. I knew what he was talking about by the time that the first Chevy came up so I quit watching. I probably miss a lot of info this way, but sometimes (most times) I get bored easily.
