That is a huge project and to be honest, not one really worth doing. But, it can be done. You need ALL the harnesses and sensors from the cab/chassis/engine off the PSD to put into your rig, no the C6 wont bolt up.

just a thought

thanks for the reply just a thought for the future i just pick up a hypermax turbo kit for 300.00 from a friends wrecking yard and the guy i got my truck from just did alot of work to the 6.9 so hopefully i wont need to worry about it for a long time just looked at the ad for 7.3 psd and the guy said it needs to be used as a long block do to it being involved in a wreck so alot of what i would need is broke or not there

You can use pretty much ANY ford Diesel engine from 1983-1994.5(they changed from 7.3 IDI to 7.3 PSD in 94.5) in your truck for future reference. If it came out of a Ford F250-Fwhatever and had an injection pump you can use it.I just put a 1984(actually 1983 built engine) engine in a 1991 truck. If you have to get an engine and you get a newer one that had a E4OD or 5 speed(or a 4Speed for that matter) you will have to change your Flywheel to the C6.I think there is a little difference between the Autos.
