How far to go with cleaning ?

I just picked this up:

Here's the problem: The PO removed the trans and turbo without plugging any holes on the donor...so.
The "lemon", the air box (1st gen Banks) and the trans have been off of the truck for "at least 6 months" with nothing to keep crap out but the hood. In addition, the return lines were left removed in a couple of places.

I plan to: 1. vacuum out everything that is open. 2. drain the oil 3. remove gp's and rotate engine 4.vacuum again. 5. new oil and filter 6. bleed fuel lines. 7. see if it will light

What have I forgotten gentlemen?

I have a diesel core support and a ZF5 ready to go.

Any input would be appreciated. I've never tried to bring one back that was left open like this.

Cant see as there woulb much wrong with your plan...maybe w glow plugs out...zome light oil in cylinders once all yer sucking is done...crank over a bunch w starter blow ***** out ...

Button up n fire it up...new Beru might be good idea too.

Why rdplace clip? Bed fenders wont match then?

Brick clip is pretty screwed up. Bumper, core, hood, left fender and left door. I just measured (quickly) the brick v. slant nose body lines at fender/door...looks pretty close to me. Donor truck started out white too..
