I'm asking from a dummies point of view. Didn't know vw even made a diesel except for the real old rabbits. How big are these motors, are they front wheel , four wheel , or rear wheel drive. How much bombed hp. will they make?

Most in the US and Canada are 1.9 liter 90 HP 155 ft/lb. Easily chipped to 116 HP 195 ft/lb. Chipped engines have about the same performance as a 1.8 T gasser up to about 50 mph - a bit less top end.

You can easily get 50 mpg on the highway so with the 16+ gallon tank you're talking 800 miles before a pit stop...

In Europe, you can get the 1.9 engine with 150 hp... runs 134 mph on the Autobahn.

A German ralley team has a 2.0 liter TDI that puts out 220 hp and drags their Golf 0-60 mph in 4 seconds...

Best of all, they're fun to drive. Gotta love that torque!

Thats the only place I have found it. They don't mention the V10 TDI on the US site. I used to work in Eastern Europe a lot, so I can "kind of" read German. Enough to know what power and torque are anyway.

The H2 is crap The Touareg has better ground clearance and performance The H2 only gets 9mpg so they do need a diesel Even the Dmax is not as powerful per liter as the V10 TDI

Thats a dumb statement. The V10 TDI is in a SUV your cummins in a truck.Your not comparing apples to apples. On the other hand you get what you pay for.The Treg has 4 rreal doors the Dodge can't even offer.
