Hey all, been lurking awhile, more so since I bought my 1st Diesel a few weeks ago.
I've been researching mechanical Diesels off and on over the last couple years or so and decided on Ford. Been watching off and on for a good one and just bought a 91 F350 Crew Cab with a 7.3 IDI a few weeks ago.
Original owner, 118k miles, all maintenance records. He added Banks Turbo and Exhaust when it was about a year old and 10k miles on it. I'll do as much work myself as possible. I've done some basics to it like oil change, trans service, replaced most of coolant (yes added additive and tested to be sure at proper level). It starts instantly, I love it so far! Just ordered shocks, need to replace front tires in the next month too. Should be good at that point.
