I'm running a Suburban hydroboost, it was pretty easy to install in my F350 - the bolt patter of the Ford firewall and the Chevy booster mounting plate was nearly identical, the pedal pushrod was a bit longer so I had to space the booster away from the firewall by 2-1/4" or so, I just used four 3/8" grade-8 bolts that were of suitable length and ran them through the hydroboost plate, the spacers, the firewall, and the column support inside the cab, and put lock-nuts on their ends. One of these days when I feel industrious I'll drill two more holes in the firewall and put the top two bolts in too, but that's not necessary at all, I'd be doing it just for my personal satisfaction. I also had to grind the pedal pin hole in the hydroboost pushrod a tiny bit so it slips nicely on the F350 pedal pin and also works the BOO switch, a Dremel tool makes the job a breeze. I believe the '96 Chev still used the older port sizes and threads where the pressure lines go in the hydroboost, so you should be able to get F-Superduty hoses and use them as a direct bolt in like I did. I've heard something about the pre-'87 steering boxes having a funky fitting on the high pressure port, I believe Mel is the one who mentioned he had to splice two pressure lines together, but me having a '90 truck I do not know for sure...
