It is a Russian military truck. Mostly used in the DDR(?) region.

Kraz 255 Cargo. Engine has around 350 BHP I think.

Forget about trying to read the engine data plate. Its all in Russian (Cyrillic).

this one was stationed in east germany and wound up in England years later when the walls came down.

..... kind of a blend of those two and Im also a history buff (military/naval and transportation).

I had to google to find images to match what I was thinking. So did I cheat?
