I'm stuck on getting this Garrett turbo apart. Take a look at the picture, what's the next step here?
I keep looking for the magic trigger to pop something loose, but haven't found it yet.

Thanks----------Robert

Turn it over & drop it gently straight down on the end of the shaft. The shaft will pop out of the housing and the thrust pieces (pictured) will fall freely off of the housing as they slide off of the shaft.

Yeah, what he said. More specifically, the turbine shaft which is sticking up, should push straight down through the housing, it may be a little sticky depending onthe seal condition etc. Don't loose the dynamic seal assembly sitting on top of the housing, it is a little spool and the mating plate with the cut out that fits in it. Observe carefully how it goes together, I think it only goes one way, but better safe than sorry.
