Fuel line replacement

I plan on replacing all the fuel lines from the tank to the motor. For those of y’all that have done it what fuel lines did you use. It looks like the factory lines are a hard plastic. Was looking at the 6AN push lock lines. Wasn’t sure if I need an adapter to go from the push lock hose to the sending unit, and where the fuel hose goes to metal lines in front engine bay of truck?

I use rubber fuel line like kdo says.

I have a nylon fuel line kit (dorman) and I use that for gas lines, but for my low pressure piggies, they just get a roll of injector hose and some clamps.

If you want to do the push lock, dorman 801-600, 800-600 those kits give you options to use the push locks.

I used nylon tubing and push lock fittings from 4Lifetimes. I found their fittings easier to use than the Dorman fittings.

I went with 6an tank to engine. 6an push lock fittings for the tank sending unit. 6an to pre-filter, 6an to Holly red pump, 6an pump to marine water separator/filter, 6an separator to factory fuel filter housing. I also did 6an for the return line from the output to the tank.

I am pleased with the results zero surging or sputtering since I pulled the trigger for the project. I got everything from Amazon. I used mostly evil energy brand. Total cost for the 6an line portion of the total project was probably about $150. I hope this helps.
