Here's my issues...

1st Issue
So ever since I first got my truck (the '85 F350) every time I go to fill the fuel tanks, I have to SLOWLY fill the tanks or it overflows. AND I MEAN SLOWLY!!! Even if the tanks are COMPLETELY empty it will act like I'm overfilling it unless I fill it SLOWLY!?!?

2nd Issue

My fuel pump went out last week, so I converted it to an electric fuel pump. I used a Holley BLUE, because I got a good deal on it. I mounted it about 3-5 inches ABOVE where the mechanical pump was. I think that it is mounted too high because it seems to loose it's prime?!??

3rd Issue
When the truck was running(on the rear tank), I noticed that some fuel was coming out of the rear of the truck. So I went to remove the rear fuel cap and A LOT fuel BLEW OUT at me!??! I shut off the truck and fuel continued to gush out for a min or two!?!?

So these are my issues. Any thoughts on the causes of these?

Issue 1 & 3 are probably caused by the same thing. The tank vent's could be plugged or the vent hose portion is crimped or deteriorated inside.

Electric fuel pumps are made to push rather than suck. Would be better to mount it close to the selector valve.

Go here for some info on tank venting. http://pages.prodigy.net/stevebaz/_import/pages.prodigy.net/stevebaz/index3.html
