fuel filter light comes on at 1600rpm??

my fuel filter light comes on at about 1600 to 2000 rpm or hard throttle then goes back off is it just a dirty filter causing this?

Yes it is just a dirty filter, change it VERY soon or you will be stranded in no time. I have made that mistake once.

Been there too, not stranded but same symptom....I was running WMO that was too cold and not flowing well when the rev's were up...

New filter and depending on the temps outside I would suggest the use of a fuel additive to keep the fuel from gelling.

thanks alot guys! well shes only left me stranded once so far and that was a stock clutch being eat apart left me on the side of the road lol it was the worst clutch ive ever saw when i unbolted the pressure plate about eight different pieces of clutch came out lol thanks again

When you change the filter plese fill it with somethinf. Don't leave it dry or mt. It will be impossible to start it. Most will fill it with atf fluid and diesel. Some use injector cleaner. Only fill the outer ring of holes in the filter. Otherwise any dirt that gets into the center hole will go directly to the injection pump and cause problems. If you have an electric lift pump instead of a manual pump its much easier to change this filter...
