fuel filter drain valve leaking

1994 F250 fuel filter drain valve is leaking wanting to know if i can get rid of the bowl all together or do i have to replace it?

My '94 was doin the same, tried opening and closing the valve repeatedly to stop the leak, replaced the fuel filter and the leak stopped. I think the O-ring on the base (for the water accumultor?) was the source of the leak. I'm no diesel expert, but hopefully this will help.

new fuel filter dam thing is still leaking ford said i was the seal in the drain valve and would be @ $80 for the part... is there a replacement filter i can get with the drain valve and censor in it? for cheaper i do construction and have been laid off for the winter not a lot of money to be thrown around
