FSV question

I'm getting ready to put a new fuel selector valve in, noticed that on the feed ports its calling for 3/8 in fuel line. I have 5/16 rubber line ran for both feed and return. If i just put a splice in from 3/8-5/16 for the connection will i be alright or does this effect me some where?. Any thoughts, would hate to run new feeds again.

Alright then, does the line running from FSV to motor need to be high pressure?, or can i run regular rubber line.

I almost think what their asking for in the instructions is a 3/8 connection to ports for a good fit. Factory had 5/16 on line running, so i think i could just slice in line just for a connection where needed. Factory had the clip connection so i see no difference.

Funny mine had 5/16 feed and return, probably some one elses job. I've been running 5/16 for over a year now haha.

Having 5/16 for feed is this effecting the truck, i haven't noticed a difference. The lines run to engine tho are 3/8.

Well i decided to run new 3/8 cheeper than buying connections and easier. Only place I'll step down is return from engine to make the fitting.

The return is 5/16" so it's already stepped down from the feed line size. You don't want to restrict the return line. You'll most likely run into trouble.

Although I completely agree, I did run a short section of 1/4 on my return line (because the guy at Napa can't read) when my selector valve died as a temporary bypass and had no issues. I certainly wouldn't do it long term, but it'll get you through in a pinch.

The return line coming from engine is 3/8 i need to step it down to meet the 5/16 fitting on fsv.
