The 465/205 is a great combo-I'd probably run that over anything out there. I guess I didn't realize you could put one behind an IDI.

It looks like I will need to open up the bell id some, turn the bearing retainer down a little, and redrill the trans to bell bolts.

That would be super easy, as I have everything to put a th400/205 in this burb, but even with the 4bt this suburban wouldnt be worth 2500. It is our rusted/beat up hunting car.

Gotcha, what year burb?

When I get done fiddling with my pickup I'll do something like this in a Tahoe or Burb for my wife. I likey not supporting OPEC and burning WMO instead. ;Sweet

This burb is an 80. The 6.2 and 6.5 do awsome with wmo (better than my fords), but the engine itself is so problematic that I finally gave up.

Our nice suburban is a really clean 91 with a tbi 350. I am up in the air a little as to what gets swapped into it, I kinda like the 4bd.
