For all you how are running methanol

This post is get some input from all you how are running do-it-yourself kits or store bought h20 injection. I am in the process of gathering parts for my set up, I like to be in control of the goings on of the engine and plan on using momentary pushbutton switches to engage the system. It will be a two stage setup, push one button (onthe backside of the steering wheel) to get stage one going for the small hills and second button for the second stage for the long pulls up the long hills. I am going to use the cruise control system (contact rings) so there are no wires to wires to worry about getting wrapped up in the column.

I remember a post on TDS when the guys who made their own were talking about nozzel size and such, I wondered what the biggest one was that didn't put out the fire (don't want to hydrolock also) I'll run block off solonoids and the 60 psi shurflo F350 camper recommended. I have my eye 2 nozzels that flow 11.0 gallons per hour (0.18 gpm) at 100 psi they are 1/8 npt so do you think this shurflo will be pumped up to 100psi or more trying to flow through a small nozzel? shurflo rates pump at 1.8 gpm 60 psi.

Hopefully someone out there knows all there is to know about hydrodynamics and can make me understand.

I screwed around for a long time trying to build a kit.
Trying to find a combination of nozzles and a pump
that would work right was not easy. I gave up trying
and bought one of these
The kit took out all the guess work and works very well.
All kinds of fun things start to happen from 25-50lbs of boost

Rob and Travis are definitely the experts on the home brew kits. Both had systems that worked. Rob's is the best by proof, as Travis tried to take what he did further, and ended up going over the edge. Rob has a nice sheet for his "Splash system" that he hands out, and it's a complete shopping list and install. Find their posts on TDS, or maybe we can get him to publish those sheets as a tech article here.

so Rubber, what did they do, or what part did they choose, that makes it work well?

I don't know if it's one thing in paticular that makes it a good kit.
I think it's a combination of pump pressure and the right foggers.
I had the stage 2 kit and really liked the controller for it.
Decide what boost level you want it to start coming on,
and what level you want it to come on full blast, and thats it.
Then just a switch on the dash to enable/disable.
The only thing I don't like about water/**** is having to
keep filling the tank back up. The truck is pretty thirsty
I learned to watch for sales at Walmart etc.
I do like the hp gain and cooler egt's as well

Heck, I still have one of Ken's systems sitting in a nice little box in my garage, hopefully one of these nice days, I will fab up a tank and plumb it, that is, after I get my HEAD STUDS>>> Man, the diesel GODS must hate me.
