The Lucky Mod is a Dual Mass Flywheel converted to a Single Mass Flywheel, using bolts, to tie it together. The extra oil is used to dampen gear roll over noise from the Single Mass flywheel.

are you sure your not talking about liters or something, mine only held 3.5qts and thats what i read on here it should hold.
Yeah crap I meant pints, sorry about that, I corrected it. Some times the memory will skew units, but remember the quantities.

to get more oil in the zf you have to pull the shifter out, then you can dump more in. I have something lke 5 qts. in mine.
That is how I always poor fluid into mine, easier than trying to put it in from the fill plug. I just stick a big funnel in there and then I can set in the cab of the truck and poor it in there while I listen to the radio, instead of laying in dirt on my back and drip it on my face (something like that always seems to happen).
I do not disassemble mine to fill it. I do it the same way you fill an outdrive, for any of you who own a boat. I use a pump dispenser and a hose which has a rubber plug that fits in the hole. The moment of truth comes when you pull out the rubber plug and put in the screw in one. This seperates the men from the boys.
