FINALLY got some Buckets!

After searching for 2 years, I FINALLY got my hands on some factory buckets for my 1992, thanks to Tom Brewer!

I had a chance to put them in the other day, so heres some pictures. I'm toying with the idea of ordering new foam for the seat bottoms from Ford, as they're just a little bit collapsed. The drivers side seat was missing the outer track cover (plastic trim) and the console was missing the cupholder inserts (presumably removed because the cupholders are worthless with them in place) I ordered both the trim and the cupholder inserts already, but couldn't wait for them to arrive to install the seats.

If anybody wants the bench seat I took out, it's in near-mint condition and for sale, located in Albuquerque.

Thanks Exekiel! My Dad and I spent a few hours getting the dash mat to fit just right. We hit it with a garment steamer to get it to follow the contour of the dash properly, and then stacked a bunch of old beam-scale weights all over the dash to hold it down while it dried. I thought dad was crazy when he did his truck that way, but it sure works! We learned on his to wrap the old steel weights in ziplocks so they dont rust-stain the dashmat... I had to order him a new dashmat after that happened...

Ordered the parts straight from the local Ford Stealership. They told me at first the parts weren't available, but I was persistant, and somehow they magically were able to find them.

I'll let you know if they ever actually show up.

Wish you were closer, would like to have the bench seat!!! My 87's seat is shot, but with a standard cab, I need the bench rather than buckets for the wife and daughter to go along. I am sure shipping would be outrageous on something like that.

Shipping would probably be cost-prohibitive...Unless we can get somebody to drop it off on their way out east....

I got to see Ryan's install in person yesterday. They look excellent! We really lucked out finding those. Especially from a salvage yard 650 miles away. I say "we" because I got the matching rear seat to Ryan's fronts. He had the the whole shootin match shipped on one pallet. Mine got dropped off at the upholstery shop today so that it could get recovered to match my '91 fronts.

Having a reliable truck is only part of the equation. Being comfortable enough to take it on long hauls makes it that much more enjoyable.

I took that style seat out of the '92 and went with 4WD brand seats for a jeep wrangler.
