f-350 supercab

I'm looking to buy another 4x4 f-350 diesel, but I need a supercab or crewcab, something to carry the little butts around in. I want the 97 (98?) or older bodystyle. My question is did Ford build one with a short-box and what years are available. The only one's that I,ve seen around have the 8 foot box. this is too long to use as a plow truck.

my friend has a 97 crew cab short box, so yes they make them with a psd not sure about idis.

i think the short bed CC only came with a PSD maybe 96-97 i think

Thanks guys. I do want to stick with an IDI . I'm thinking my best bet would be to find a good body from down south with a bad PSD. I know where I can get a real good 6.9 for 500 bucks. I'd probably buy a BTS e4OD and use one of OG's Bauman computers to simplify wiring problems. I do need as short of a truck as possible as I do a lot of commercial snow plowing here.(5 months out of the year this is my main job) Years ago I plowed with a 78 bronco. It was great for tight areas. Or I can hope that Agnem won't be able to title his bronco and sell it to me real cheap.

Have you checked with the DMV in your state to see if it'll be legal to stick a older diesel into a newer truck? OkieGringo

In Michigan all you need is a good title for the body. There is no reason to disclose what is under the hood. No emmisions or safety inspections or any other such nonsense that some of you guys have to put up with in the tree hugger states. If Mel lived here, he would have a shiny new plate on the rear of that cool bronco by now.

Ford has had crew cab 4x4 srw trucks since at least the 70s. That will cover all the 6.9 years

Hey Guys,

If you want a CC Short Bed you will have to find a F250, and they only made them in 96, and 97.

The F350 CC's only came in a Long Bed, no short beds, or Extended cabs. (some early duallys would come in an ex cab)

As far as an IDI, you would have to settle with a ex cab Long Box.

In 98 you couldn't get a F250 or F350 in our body style. Then in 99 they started with the Super Duties, then you could get any body configuration.
