Extra shims under injectors

Anyone run a double shim under the injectors? after reading "supertune ur diesel" thread over on FTE there was some talk of it. read the 7.3s was increased .060 for emmisions reasons? any benefiet to running a different shim?

I noticed when I pulled mine out the guy that had it before me had double washers on them. Thought it was odd.

i guess u didnt have much seat time before u took them out...wonder if it makes a difference?

Umm... the emmision motors have the injectors .0060 farther up in the head (out of the prechamber). You'd be pulling them farther up, with more shims.
