Geez Doug, there's more wiring under the hood of that Chebby than a Powerstroke.........

And you guys are scared of the dark side:dunno cookoo  ...... or in my case the wrong sideLOL

Looks like ya bout have her done;Sweet

It has about the same amount as the Ford, it's just that Ford hides it in front of the radiator. I'm getting closer, bunches of little things to do (and it has to look just right), like I modified the dash. I found a diesel Chevy and modified the fuel gauge to fit one the aux positions, and then took the Ford tach and fit it into where the fuel gauge went.

I'm good at taking pics after the fact, not so good at doing it during. Just some Dremel work, sheet metal nippers and rewiring a bit. I've gotten so lucky that most of the Chevy and Ford parts came out to be close enough that they didn't take a lot of work to fit. Just lots of time thinking about how to do things first.

I need to post some more pics on my swap thread: http://oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?t=22812

I just had to solder wires for the new connections, as the gauges and dash didn't match up. Not difficult at all. I'll get a shot of the back of them and post it in my thread. Are you doing something with the gauges or the whole truck?

Well I think i'll be swapping an international pickup cab and box onto the ford F-350 frame and gear and was wondering what i was going to do about the tac so i figured put the ford tack guts in the dash some how or in an older tac pod on the steering column but was concerned of the wiring was difficult,

sorry guys off topic

It was more or less an experiment to see if I could do it. There is alot I learned and alot more I would do next time. Use better paint, check for oil leaks/fuel leaks before I install, don't use cork gaskets, etc...
