and if you create two more stake pockets on the other side,it can't walk either.
so long as you press the bushing into the pump where you don't stake on a seam,don't split the seam due to being too tight,don't end up with a tight converter install,then all should be good.
if you press your busing in and the converter fits too snugly,then the converter will spin the bushing.being staked won't help.i know.
i had to hold the hone on the drill at just the right depth and it spun evenly for me.it got chewed up a bit when i lifted too high but being a one time use was ok with me.
if in doubt,take it to a trans shop.they can install the bushing for you,im sure at not too great of a cost.another option would be to toss the pump and buy a reman.all depends on what type of hurry your in,how much you want or don't want to learn,how much your willing to spend,learning the hard way etc.
if you can't figure it out by reading my instructions with the shift kit,then the odds are high,you should let a shop tackle it or get a reman.im not being ******* ya.just letting you know that you'll be pulling the trans over and over if you don't read and apply what i wrote up is all.i know you want it to be otherwise but i can assure you,it wont be.
