I am searching for and hoping you guys have an idea as to where to procure A dash piece.
The one I need is for a 87-91. Its the piece on the passenger lower side of the dash. I need it to have the wts and water in fuel hole, and the cubby in the middle.
Now comes the kicker I need it in the xl all black, no wood trim style.
I have been looking for a while and thought I would ask on here and see if anyone had any leads

I may have what you need but I'll have to look and see if it's in tact. Do you just need the trim or all of it together?

There should not be any trim. This is the best picture I have. It is a combo of both dash pieces, but I need the cubby and diesel cutouts of the top one but in the plastic style of the bottom.
I have an entire wood grain dash trim kit. I removed it all to install the xl style trim instead. I liked the look of the black inside because it matched the rest of my interior which is black and blue.
I do not have the part number.

The light module and the cubby hole are removable modules I believe. I forgot to look today but my 90 parts truck is an XL. I just don't know what condition those parts are in. Let me look.

Every trim piece for WTS and WIF has wood grain around it. What are the slats on the bottom of the cubby for? And how can I best get rid of the wood look? I want it all blacked out.

not every trim piece. i saw a youtube video of a guy in europe who absolutely beat the crap out of his idi. some indestructable truck or something, he got for free. It at one point in the video showed the dash and he had the peice I am looking for. I know they exist just hard to find.
Also the woodgrain trim can be popped off I beleive it is just a metal tab holding it on the back side.

I have a complete trim set, but it's XLT wood grain
Is the "wood grain" in good shape? If the OP doesn't take them, I might be interested.

I think the only all-black trim pieces with the diesel "message center" were for F-450's. I've seen them, but they aren't very common.

The slats might be for those weird cassette tape things.... can't remember.
If it's the slats I'm thinking of, I think they're meant to hold coins for feeding parking meters and such. The slats are only on the top, correct?

Oh yeah, I think you're right. Lol
I do remember some vehicles having cassette holders though.

The wood grain is a metal overlay and does come off. Just have to CAREFULLY bend the tabbed over shoulder down and pull. Just did it to a JY piece I had. Worked great. Now, Just trying to find a way for the damn paint to stop fish-eyeing.
