Crunch when truck turns ?

It isnt running yet just trying to figure out all the little problems, when i would take a turn while going up a hill or speed bump there is a "cruch" sound a soft crunch not like metal on metal. The front sway bar needs a new bushing i have them it also needs a new bushing bracket looks like the po pulled it out of the mud or something by the sway and messed up the driverside bracket and bushing the bar isnt bent or out of place or anything. Is this my problem.

That thing sticking out tworads the front of the truck is a yellow tow strap coated in grease lol

Take the ends loose on the sway bar and see if it goes away.

could be, i would jack the front end up grab the tire and see if anything is loose. might have some bad ball joints in there to.

Also.. Could be the tire hitting the bumper, i cant look at the picture but I chased that crunch for a while when my friend noticed my tire rubs when turning a certain amount with just the right incline/load.

I dont think the tire is rubbing its stock, if you can see the pic there is a ton of space between tire and bumper but i am not ruling anythig out.

Yeah, definitely doesn't look like you're rubbing bumper. Mine rubbed with stock tire because the bumper is bent, but I 'fixed' it to put my 33's on. Sorry I was no help.

Also check the dust cover clearance on everything.

No problem i would rather someone suggest something and it not be the problem ,than someone holding back there suggetstion in fear of being wrong and it ends up being the problem, no apologys needed. Dust covers are good.
I am going to wait until it runs to get it on a flat surface to jack it up.

Lets get some details...first 2 or 4wd?

Can you disconnect the sway bar ends? If so does it do the same noise?

Has the truck sat for a while ... If so the grease in the ball joints may have sat up and hardened .... or if it didnt have grease in it it may have rusted over time .. My niece's truck had sat for a while and was making a creaking noise when she turned ... after I greased it it took turning the wheel back and forth with it jacked up for about three minutes before it quit creaking and started turning smooth .... also the bushings in the photo were quite worn and they could be making some noise ... goodluck

Last time I heard a crunch like you're describing it was the cab shifting/moving because it was old and rusty. It didn't look bad when we first started hearing the noise, but after a while the old tow truck started sitting a bit crooked. We ended up getting a cab from down south and replacing it. I hope that's not your noise...that was a tuff job.
