Looking for opinions on temp gauges. Things like: digital or not, what type of sender, etc. Also I'd enjoy seeing pics of where & how y'all mounted the gauge(s). I plan on putting the sender in the overheat-unit location on the driver head. I heard it reads warmer there, that's a good thing correct?

T.I.A. Folks

p.s. I read as many search results as I could, but never found any definitive info on the subject, just folks stating their temps...

I have a regular mechanical temp gauge mounted in the classic under-the-dash 3 hole panel. I do have the temp sender mounted in the over-temp driver's side front location.

Watching the factory temp gauge, it seems the factory thermostat is around the "o" in the word "normal". I believe the factory thermostat is supposed to be 192 degrees. When the factory temp gauge is reading around the "o", my aftermarket gauge mounted in the over-temp location reads about 210 degrees.
