See if you can find out if the engine was overheated. It is not uncommon for an overheated engine to blow a head gasket and/or crack a head.
Check for any new radiator hoses or radiator, which may indicate that they have been replaced recently. Check for tell-tale signs of leaks from the radiator and water-pump. This could indicate that the engine was run low on coolant and overheated.

The engine in my 1991 overheated and cracked the head. It used coolant and made lots of white smoke, but no coolant in the oil.

If it were oil in the coolant, then it would probably be failed o-rings in the oil cooler.

The ad poster is still running it as a daily driver with coolant in the oil?? cookoo

Shoot if I was close, I would never have posted it as a ad. It would be posted as "look what followed me home".
