Cool idea I found for toolbox lights!

I was wandering through big lots the other day when I found these lights:

They were labeled as "Wireless LED accent spotlights." After I looked at them for a couple minutes, I thought, I bet these would work nicely for toolbox lights!

So, I took them home and opened them up- and man these things are perfect for that. For starters, they run off three AAA batteries so they'll probably go forever on those. They will also swivel in any direction and you can aim the light itself. And, they came with adhesive velcro pads...so, if you needed light somewhere else, you could just pull the light off.

Oh, and I got a set of three for $13

Here's a couple pics of them installed...considering I took these in the dead of night with my camera phone (which has no flash) I'd say they work very well! I still have one light left, not sure what to do with it at the moment.

Awesome i have been meaning to put lights in my tool box also but i never seem to get to it I think i might have to take a trip to big lots later to find myself a set.

I am pleased with them so far. High humidity and gravity dont seem to bother them a bit. I was worried the sticky tape wouldnt hold. I dont know how yours are but you just push the light itself to turn these on. When it is dark they provide enough light to find whatever it is youre looking for in the box.

i was actually going to put the dotit lights in my cab as interior lights since i dont like my existing ones (they are a custom made oak finished setup) but if i can find led lights id use those instead.
