In the torque list, it says not to use new bolts for the oil squirters. Why?

some people have said that new bolts will worth themselves out.
I tried finding the thread where I read that, but failed.
ive heard it mentioned a few times, so I thought it would be good to share.

just use a general torque spec

1/4x20unc 7 ft-lbs
5/16x18 unc 14 ft-lbs
3/8x16 unc 24 ft-lbs
7/16 x 14 unc 38 ft-lbs
1/2x13 unc 60 ft-lbs

that should get you close

When I tore down my 7.3, I documented all the bolts and their respective threads. When I reassembled it, I diagrammed out all any necessary torque sequences and identified them. Here are the images from my collection, and I added some 6.9 IDI info as well, and I identified any differences between the IDI truck and IDI Van engines.

Wow! That's super helpful, thanks for your efforts.
