I know i've read the answers i seek on this forum in the past, but for the life of me i cant seem to find it now that Im looking for it. Sorry in advance for asking it to be repeated. Can the clutch master cylinder from an 83 be made to fit on a 93? Or could the slave cylinder for a zf5 operate a t19? Im wanting to replace the e4od in the 93 with the t19 i have in a donor truck so as not to go the expense of paying for a spare zf5. All other parts besides trans is not an issue of sourcing just need to know what to go hunt for. (PS: cant drag home anymore parts/donor trucks, not allowed haha)

The T19 and ZF use the same same slave cylinder. I changed nothing in my hydraulics when I put the ZF in my '85. The mount is identical as is the travel.

from the past swaps I have done, the master is actually clocked differently and will hit the brake booster on the later truck.

^^^^ yep. The later trucks used an offsets mounting pattern for the clutch master. Earlier trucks, mounting bolts were at 12 and 6, later trucks were clocked at 11 and 5 (or something close) if you were looking at it from the engine bay. If you used a later master in an earlier truck the reservoir would be off-vertical enough to hit the brake booster.

If the slave cylinders work for either transmission then I would assume Im golden on buying the clutch mc/sc setup for my body style(93) and mounting the t19 behind the 7.3 Correct? Another dumb question: Did Ford add anything to the auto trans steering column that is in the way of installing the clutch/brake petal assembly? Or am i forced to locate a manual trans steering column?

Nothing will interfere with the installation of the pedals. They will bolt right in. Mine did"

I did go ahead and remove the auto shifter from mine, but didn't have to.

Yes, correct. Sorry I didn't give the important detail that my '85 was a T19 equipped truck to begin with.

I don't know the difference in bull nose and brick master/slave, but I can tell you the brick one will work on a obs truck.
But you gotta knock out the studs in the firewall, and drill out the holes a bit.
But you can get the Prebled complete system for the OBS trucks. With the metal line.

No good way to convert an auto pedal assembly to manual. If you gather enough parts to do it....you have gathered everything you need just to bolt the manual pedals in. Might be the same mounting bracket, but that is about it. They are cheap and readily available at pick n pull. Mine came out of a 300 straight six F150 base mod truck. Works great. Although I now have a superduty pedal assembly for my hydroboost. Just need to swap it out.

I was planning on buying the clutch/brake petal assembly off eBay. There are a few brand new motorcraft ones for sale. Also was going to get pre bled mc/sc with line. Thanks for answering all unknowns so far. Will keep everyone posted as work progresses.
