No offense intended, but not even close. You can get running ctd's for 1k and up with not too high miles. Not only that, they come with the rest of the truck too. Mine I got it for a sweet deal and thanks to that I didn't spend much money out of My pocket.

On a 2nd thought, if that is a medium duty tranny it will put some icing on the deal if one can fit it under the cab

that is what i was thinking, it would be a practically indestructable drivetrain, but getting the driveshaft right would be tricky though.

I like the fact that the getrag is easy to rebuild but if I get the chance and have the coin I would not think twice on buying a good 7spd tranny and make it problem free. I know it can be done but I do not know what are the options out there.

thats the going price for the 5.9 cummins engines around here with a engine and trans thats a very reasonable price it sucks but arizona is goat grazing country

found a real steal here, the front axle alone is worth that much. and the guy just wants rid of it.
