Can it be swapped to 4WD

Can my 2wd 94 F250 be converted over to a 4WD TTB with a donor truck?

I remember helping a friend converotr over a F150 2wd to 4wd with a donor, but that was coil spring to TTB coil spring. It swas somewhat straight forward.

Anyone ever tried this?

I have a Sterling rear with 3.55 gears and would like to keep the ratio near that.

Sure it can... but you're in for lots of FUN. It would be much easier to find a 4wd truck that needs an engine and body parts and swap everything off of your truck than to do the 2wd to 4wd swap. Again, anything is possible if you are willing to spend the time, but there are much easier (and probably cheaper) ways to get a 4wd IDI.

Anything can be done with enough time and money!

If you have a donor then just swap everything to do with 4wd onto the other truck.

But like has been said, if you already have a 4wd donor truck, then just swap your engine and all that good stuff into the donor.

6 nebraska idi's did that swap with his 2 wheel drive 80's model.. he had a pretty good write up with pictures on it to. just search for it and you should find it pretty easy..

i just converted mine to 4wd and used the dana 60 so i wouldn;t have to worry about ttb drop brackets.
