Calling Vans with Gauges!!!

So I have plans to add a few aftermarket gauges to my '88 E250. I am going to go with Engin Temp, Trans Temp and EGT. I was wondering where others have mounted these. I have seen aftermarket gauge pods for our trucks, but not any for vans. Am I stuck fabbing up my own somehow? Pics would be great.

Theres an idi E series ambulance at one of the junkyards in my area back home. It had a nice gauge pod/switch panel that kinda molded with the dash. Don't have any pictures of it but next time im home and can see if its still there.

Hmm, jayro88, I've never seen a pod setup for the earlier vans. I saw and snapped up a pillar pod without gauges - made by Auto Meter - a while back, but that is designed for the later series, like mine.

Found this pic on the net at some point. Hope it helps. Yeah, I'm sure that farther-to-the-left would be better!

Hmm, did I see some kind of universal pod pieces at AutoZone last week? Will research that. Stay tuned.


**** AutoZone only lists universal pods with low-end gauges. Auto Meter only lists pods for the later vans. CrapCrap.

I like my universal two pod setup, they sell them in three pod as well, just velcro down to dash and good to go

Here is what I've got - 4 gauges where the radio goes, then put the radio up in the overhead console. Works good for me.
