Well it seems that the rust won with the ol girl and I have to swap cabs. I have found a rolling chassis with good clip and cab with interior. My question is (after searching for swap info) the donor truck is 2wd and I have 4wd. Does anyone know if this will be basically plug and play minus the 4wd selector which i know will need a hole made. I am more concerned with wiring and dash? Both trucks are Bricknose.

I dont want to keep blowing money if this wont work rather scrap it and start over

As long as it's the same generation and engine/trans combo, it's plug and play. You'll just have to add in the 4wd harness (plugs in) and use your gauge cluster.

Well Guys I need some more input please. The donor cab I found has some holes on the upper driver side and the drip rail is rusted. This truck is a diesel. I have found another bricknose but its a f150 but decent cab with no rust. I know that the dash has to be swapped over with all wiring. My dilemma is which way to go? I can do light body work ie fill the holes and spray primer.
HELP!!

Go with the cab in better shape. Ford used the same cab regardless. Even some medium duty trucks use the same cab. Actually, any F-Series cab from 1980 to the F250's and 350's of '97 are basically the same. 92+ had some firewall differences for the different dash, but they'll all bolt to the same places.

The thing I have been seeing if I use 92 and up is the dash mounting points are a little different so my dash wont line up. I found more obs cabs than bricknose unless I hit the JYDS. I plan to go by and check out one that i know has quite a few trucks today or tomorrow

That's where that minor difference comes into play. @IDIoit cut and swapped firewalls so he could use a 92+ dash on a brick cab...or was it the other way around?

ive done 2 92+ dash swaps in brick noses.
the first one I used parts of the firewall to accept the stock 92+ wiring, the other I used aftermarket wiring.

no firewall update for electrical
I actually moved the location where the wires come through.
