Big Cooling Problem please help diesel down!

imho...
any gauge will work as long as YOU know where your "normal" operating range is. Gauges that are "full range"(270deg) is more prefered since you can see the variances easier. As long as you know what your baseline is, any deviation from that is where you need to pay close attention to. So...will a $30 gauge do the same as a $300 gauge? Only when the operator know his vehicle.

They are ok,Nothing to write home about.For a quick cheap temporary fix they will work.I am not a big fan of Cheap gauges but they do have their place.I would throw them in for now and when you get the money upgrade at a later date to Autometers/VDOs/etc.

thanks folks, i'll end up getting them....
I'm not fanatical about these things, but I'd feel mighty stupid breaking an engine because the oil pressure was too low or something like that.
