big blue lost signal lights and brake lights

yah my 85 6.9 supercab 4x4 just all of a sudden one day the turn signals didnt work inside my dash or outside the truck on front or back.. also brake lights stopped working..they didnt work when i got the truck but started to work and ididnt even touch anything then all of a sudden they stopped working again does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

First check if emergency flashers work.

flashers do work. but after like say ten min of being on they just stay on and dont flash but if i shut if off for a few seconds they work fine again but i dontt understand why my signals and tail lights dont work

Try changing the flasher relays at the fuse box. One on front, one on back. Interchange them & see if the turns work. If so, go ahead and get replacements for each. I personally use the electronic ones.
