IMHO the air bags are the way to go. They are easy to install and don't cost much more then the add a leafs. What I like about the air bags is that you can adjust the ride height to what ever you want. You can adjust them for ride or load to get the vehicle exactly where you want it by simply adding or removing air. Once you put the add a leafs on, you are stuck with what you get, there are no adjusting the spings. Click on the link below for info on the air bags I have installed on my truck....

Yes. Air bags are a better choice w a solid axle

I guess that could be debated but the truck drives straight and I have no tire wear. I don't adjust it much and not very often but I have never noticed any drivablilty change at all...........
