has anyone ever heard of removing the cooler supply line check valve coming out of the passenger side water / atf heat exchanger???????? I heard these stick sometimes and can of course ruin your tranny in about 5 minutes. This tranny repair shop told me of this and to take off the little 8 inch rubber hose on passenger side and punch out the check valve and loose the valve all together but put back on the hose you just took the check valve out of. ?????????????????

I've heard of it being done with no issues other than it will definitely drain back when shut it off. It'll take a few seconds to refill the converter on a restart so if you crank it up and put it in drive right away it may take a second or two to start moving. If you do it just put it in neutral for a few seconds after start up before putting it in gear. It pumps more fluid in neutral than park.
