Anyone familiar with ambulance parts?

Repaired a broken vacuum fitting yesterday and then realized that I have no idea what it does Would any of you be able to tell me what the part mounted to the center of the cowl does (directly over the oil fill)? It has two 1/8" vac lines coming off the bottom, the side controlled by the solenoid goes back towards the transmission and out of sight unless I rip out the passenger seat and take the doghouse off...which is a PITA. This is a 91 7.3 Collins e350 ambulance- thanks

Im betting its for the heater valve for the rear heat

depending if you have on board vacuum systems it could go to the rear to power that. ours is ran off the vacuum motor under the hood. i could be the heater control, but typically that is all on the drivers side.

Edit: we have the same squad as our "backup" or "fire squad" if i remember i can run by the fire hall on my way home from work and take a look.

Thats has to be a Collins iterm. I do not have that on mine but as others have said it is possible that it is the heater control for the heater in the back.

What I would do is call the manufacturer and give them the body number. They should be able to tell you what it is and is for.
