folks cut with rug all the time - some manuals even suggest it as an anti-gel agent in winter.

anyway, I won't need to cut anything after the heaters are in.

I was doing this for water absorbsion, but one day I noticed that in the clear hose on my filter tank the top was Yellow and the bottom black. For some reason the Alcohol seperates from the oil! I havent run any since.

I would not use E-85.

There are a couple reasons.

1) it makes water hang in suspension, which is NOT GOOD, you want water to fall out, and get caught in the water seperator

2) it will eat up components in your fuel system, many rubber parts do not do well with ethanol.

3) Ethanoal has less BTU's per gallon than Gasoline, in fact even considering the price of the ethanol, you pay MORE per BTU with ethanol than gasoline

4) Ethaonl has an octane rating of about 100 or better....Octane is NOT GOOD ina diesel...the lower the octane rating the better...stale gas is even better yet.
