Ok guys I need some help here. I am just testing the waters before i pull the trigger so I'm lookin to you guys for some help here.

Im looking into purchasing a CNC plasma cutter to start a side business making various brackets,tabs etc or anything else that I can cut out of 1/2" or less plate.

I have other avenues I am familier with as to where i can drum up some business but I thought I maybe could offer up a service on here as well.

What I am looking for is what you guys could possibly be looking for as cut parts. maybe not really totally finished parts but raw steel cutouts to help along a project or upgrade.

Just looking for input not orders. If i go through with this and seems like a worthy endeavor I will contact the mods and do the official vender thing.

my professional background is in machine design. I work with solidworks/solid edge and autocad for a living. I can draw up just about anything...

I think a lot of people here kinda shy away from the more serious work like fabbing headers... there will be a market here but I think it will be pretty limited.

rear disc brackets? maybe fab up something to use the SD calipers with? or a bracket to mount a york compressor for on board air. fuel filter relocation bracket?

My Neighbor has one with a 6'X6' table in his garage. He's made me some axle brackets, Vikings horns.

He mostly makes detailed signs.

X2 on the flanges. Another thing is adapter plates for engine swaps, from the common to the cuckoo. Give Advanced Adapters some competition. Custom engine accessory brackets for tight engines swaps, motor mount kits.

Centrifugal supercharger bracket kits to fit a blower onto anything.

well after doin some talkin with the wife and some research this morning and a phone call to my bank looks like im going to try and go forward with it. It all depends on the banks approval of me upping my home equity line but im gunna try...

A coolant filter mount for comming off of the fuel filter mount would be something easy to design. And I would be willing to buy one. I'm just lazy and don't like to make the really simple brackets...

You could make lift kits easy enough. The Burbank suspension I bought back in the 80's was nothing more than some plate steel to extend the IFS pivots, springs and hardware.

is that whats on the moose truck? im not sure i would want to get into lift kits due to the liability but wouldnt mind putting one together for myself
