On the road ....
Could not find a Thread on this question
I currently have a 1990 F350 XLT dually crew cab with
a 7.3 IDI & 5 speed manual.
I am considering buying a 1994 F350 XLT dually crew cab
with what I am told is a 7.3 IDI & 5 speed manual.
Second owner truck & current owner says high pressure oil switch will intermittently cut out the engine & needs to be replaced.
Says it has been that way since he has owned the truck last four years.
Says he just starts it back up after shutdown.
Says it is his daily driver.
It could be a powerstroke - the guy thinks it is a IDI.
I posted over on the 7.3 IDI forum & the opinion is
that this is a 7.3 powerstroke.
I have not seen the truck - it is 100 mile one way trip for me.
Truck has 158K original miles & is California truck.
Also, do the odometers on this year show 200 plus once they roll over?
If this is a late model 94' powerstroke what else should I look for?
What do you guys think?
Thanks!
Jim
