Hi I'm new here and I have a question, which would be a better turbo on an idi, an s360 or hx35 with justins(r&d idi) stage 1 turbo kit and arb studs? I'm just looking for more go go juice and it would be cheaper than sidewinder or hypermax.

Welcome to the forum. As far as I can see from what you posted. I believe the big three turbo houses being Banks, Hypermax or ATS are the easiest to install and the better bang for your buck. I'm expressing what I know about the turbos that are "fitted" to our engines. What you posted from R&D is beyond my scope but I do know they are doing big things for the idi community.

Well when you need the whole kit, the big 3 are probably cheaper. Unless you have fabrication skills.
Was it a s360 or s366? Either way, those turbos are pretty good. And can be fitted with different housings and whatnot.
My opinion is the hx35 is a little small. Well, would work on a stock engine.

Justin at r&d idi performance has a kit set up already. He has a kit that has manifolds, up pipes, pedestal, and oil drain and oil in. I would just have to fab the intake but that's is really simple.

Thats a nice turbo kit pictured there. Someone can weld the headers very nicely. If I was going to do this I would use stainless steel for the headers and up pipes like many newer cars and trucks have. I believe it was GM that first used stainless and expansion bellows to stop the heat cracking of the big block exhaust manifold on the truck applications.
