All, I'm fairly new to diesels so I am looking for advise/ideas.
I have a 1993 7.3 IDI that i just had the glow plugs changed and the injection pump timing cover resealed. Before this all was good except for my cold starts and the bad leak from the injection pump cover.
Now though it starts great, better that it has since I got it. The problem is though that now the injectors seem to be popping louder and I now have a miss. What could of gone on when I had the guy do the repairs? The pump seems to be strong and no leaks that I can find.
Background on the truck. It was bought in may 2014 with 84,000 miles all original. I have replaced the radiator with the proper antifreeze that included the SCA's in 2015. Currently it has 117,000 on the odo. I try to run Diesel Kleen in it at every tank.
