If you can afford it, get all new parts for anything that will see AC refrigerant; especially the compressor. The single most expensive part is the compressor and any dirt leftover in used parts can kill it. Rebuilt units generally don't last long either. If cost is a problem, I'd sooner get a used compressor than a rebuilt one (provided it was dirt cheap). I actually ran a used $50 compressor for many years before replacing everything with new parts.

If you have a 92... I would look to get an air box (the evaporator box) from a 1994 IDI.

1994 was there first year of factory R134, then you can buy all the 1994 R134 system components and not have to worry about converting a R12 system to R134.

The evaporator, condenser, and hoses are different on the 1994 R134 system.
