7.3 /6.9 swap

Hi Guys on this is my second project I am working on just a couple questions . I have a 1985 6.9 in a roll back . Talked to a guy yesterday that has a fresh 7.3 rebuild all if needs is the one head checked for warped its not on the engine yet . A couple questions . Will the fly wheel off of my 6.9 work on the 7.3 mine is a manual transmission . the 7.3 has no fly wheel but I think it was also a manual transmission behind it . Both of these engines are IDI engines . I am not sure of the year model of the 7.3 . Also has anyone have any luck having these heads milled once they warp ?what should I check for . Thanks guys

The flywheel will fit just fine.

If you surface the heads, make sure to check valve protrusion. You may have to do a valve job to make sure the valves don't kiss the pistons. There are aftermarket heads with thicker surfaces available, you might want to look into those.
